Hello class, today we will be installing front speakers in a 1992 Camry LE.  The speakers today are the Clarion SRS1624 components.

The main parts that come in the box are the woofer, tweeter, the tweeter housing, and adapter bracket.

We'll start with the driver's side door.

The tweeter comes with a few different parts... the housing that it sits in, the attachment disc, metal clips, and screws.  Parts may differ depending on what kind of speakers you have.

Screw the metal clips into the housing.  These clips help secure the housing into the door panel.

Next, screw the attachment disc into the housing.  The disc will hold the tweeter securely in the housing.

Feed the tweeter wires thru the opening in the housing.

You don't have to, but as an extra measure I put double-sided tape around the housing so that it holds better in the door panel.

Now for the tricky part - the door handle bezel.  Get a flat head screwdriver and insert it by the door lock as in the picture.  Push down on the screwdriver handle.  This should pop the top part out slightly.

Do the same for the bottom side.  Insert the screwdriver near the area indicated in the picture.  This time push up on the screwdriver handle.  The bottom part should pop out slightly.

Lastly, insert the screwdriver as in the picture and push the handle towards the end of the door (in this case, push the handle left).  the whole bezel should pop out now.

In this pic, you can see the latch inside the door that the bezel attaches to.

And here you can see the hook on the back of the bezel.

It's a little tricky and might require a couple tries but it's pretty simple.  Be gentle but firm so as not to crack the bezel.

Take a minute to examine all the crud that's accumulated from years gone by.
